A blast in Mardi Gras

To my dearest friend,

I will never be the same person I was with you. Even though we were often miles apart, you were always right there with me, only ever a phone call away. Together, we lived a hundred years' worth of fun, We found our true loves at the same time, were married together. I had never seen you so happy to find true love. I cannot imagine what my past would look like without you by my side.

I loved you so much, regardless of where life took us. Through everything, we remained family and best friends. You made me laugh every single time I saw you or spoke to you. Even when you were sick, you would call me with every bit of joy you could muster in your voice.

My heart is broken now, and I truly hope you have the other part of it with you. I know you will be looking down on your family and watching over us. Because of you, I will celebrate every day from now on and never take a single moment for granted.
